Vita’s multidisciplinary approach to athletic development focuses on sport performance training, as well as building a powerful, healthy, and pain-free athlete by utilizing modalities of physical therapy, massage therapy, and the top sport performance coaches in the nation. Vita specializes in strength and conditioning from the very early stages of development all the way to the professional ranks. Vita athletic development programs are individually tailored to maximize efficiency of progression and reduce the amount of time to obtain realistic goals with the least risk of injury.
Athletic Development Offerings:
Assessment
- Multi-joint assessment used to individualize training program.
- Progression, training age and goal indicator.
Weight Training
- Integrated strength, stability, flexibility, and corrective exercise program tailored to each athlete in an individual and group setting.
- Promote efficiency of movement for enhanced power.
Movement Preparation (Speed)
- Understand the basics of speed and agility in any direction.
- Learn how to cut, jump, accelerate, and run at top speeds efficiently and effectively.
Metabolic Conditioning
- Train for the correct ratio of energy demands for your specific sport.
Regeneration
- Understand how to take care of your body before, during, and after physical activity.
ACL Injury Prevention
- Neuromuscular and proprioceptive exercises to decrease the incidence of ACL injuries.
Hockey Off-Ice Conditioning
- Drills to improve your aerobic power, strength and muscle bulk, explosive speed, and anaerobic endurance.
Athlete Groups
- Sport-specific training groups of 3 & private
- 11-14 Age Group
